The trees in my yard Empty The trees in my yard

Post by melissajmueller Wed Oct 03, 2007 11:47 am

I recently moved to Ithaca, into a house in the suburbs with a big back yard. Just the other day I noticed that whoever did the landscaping in my yard seemed to have a goal of having as many different tree species as possible represented. There's one sycamore, one beech, one apple tree, one spruce, one larch, one hemlock, one weeping willow, two white pines, two sugar maples...I've set myself a goal of identifying them all, and even drawing a map of my yard with all the trees labeled. What trees are in your yard? And I wonder, are the trees are a bit lonely, planted like that?
